Associate Professor of European Union Law in the University of Cagliari since 30 May 2019 (habilitated as Full Professor of European Union Law). Previously Associate Professor of International Law in the same University (since 3 November 2014).
Lecturer of International Law in the University of Cagliari since 1st March 2006 to 2 November 2014.
Education
Degree in Law (cum laude) in the University of Florence, final dissertation in Private International Law.

Teaching duties
He teaches courses in European Union Law and Public Administration and in European Law in the Department of Political and Social Sciences of the University of Cagliari. He also teaches a course in European Law of the Protection of Cultural Goods in the School of Specialisation in Architectural and Landscape Heritage of the University of Cagliari. Previously charged with courses in International Law, Global Governance Law, Multilevel Governance and European Union Law and Law of International Organisations in the Department of Political and Social Sciences of the University of Cagliari and, before that, in the Faculty of Political Sciences of the same University (since academic year 2006-2007). Temporary lecturer of International Law in the School of Law of the University of Cagliari in the academic year 2006-2007.
Adjunct Professor of European Union Law in the School of Law of University Luiss Guido Carli in Rome since academic year 2020-2021.
Previously responsible for lectures in European Union Law and in International Law in the School of Specialisation for Legal Practitioners of the University of Cagliari (since academic year 2008-2009).
Previously Adjunct Professor of Family Private International Law in University LUMSA in Rome (academic year 2005-2006).

Member of the Editorial Board of Rivista di diritto internazionale privato e processuale. Member of the Editorial Board of SIDIBlog (the Blog of the Italian Society of International and European Union Law). Member of the Editorial Board of The European Legal Forum.
Previously recipient of two post-doc grants in European Union Law (concerning the State aid procedure and the reform of EU anti-trust law) in the School of Law of the University of Trieste (2003-2005). He held lectures and seminars in Private International Law, International Law, European Union Law, International Protection of Human Rights, in various institutions and entities, including Catholic University of Lublin, the University of Rome “La Sapienza”, the University of Florence, the University of Genoa, the University of Pisa, the University of Milan, the University of Trieste, the Italian School for the Judiciary, the School of Specialisation for Legal Practitioners of the University of Florence.
He was a speaker in several conferences and workshops in Italy and abroad, concerning Private International Law, International Civil Procedure, European Union Law (Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, University of Stirling, University of Ghent, Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster, University of Cambridge, Brunel University London, Universidad Autonoma de Madrid, University of Genoa, University of Rome “Tor Vergata”, University of Bari, University of Trieste, University of Ferrara, University of Verona, University of Parma, University of Siena, University of Milan, University “LUMSA” in Palermo, University of Bergamo, National Association of Civil Status Registrars, Bar Association of Rome, Italian Bar Council).
He is the author of two monographs (“La connessione attributiva di giurisdizione nel regolamento (CE) n. 44/2001” and “Carta UE dei diritti fondamentali e cooperazione giudiziaria civile”) and of more than 70 articles concerning Private International Law, International and European Civil Procedure, European Union Law, International Protection of Human Rights, published in collective volumes or national and international journals.
He is a member of the Italian Society of International and European Union Law (SIDI), of the Italian Association of European Union Law Scholars (AISDUE) and of the European Association of Private International Law (EAPIL).
