Qualification: Researcher in General Psychology at the University of Cagliari, Faculty of Humanities, Department of Pedagogy, Psychology, Philosophy.
Degree in Developmental and Educational Psychology at the University of Cagliari (2000). In 2003 she attended the course on “Structural Equation Models”, University of Rome “La Sapienza”; in 2011 she attended the II level master’s degree in “Psychopathology of Learning” University of Cagliari; in 2015 she attended the course on “Statistics for the Human Sciences with R” at the Department of Pedagogy, Psychology, Philosophy, University of Cagliari.
Research interests concern the field of cognitive processes involved in the learning of mathematical skills in children, adults and the elderly. She has carried out a series of studies and research on the domain-general precursors (working memory and executive functions) and domain-specific precursors of mathematical skills (quantification mechanisms, comparison, seriation, mental calculation strategies, mental number line). Another research focus concerns the development of traditional psychological tests in computerized versions in Immersive Virtual Reality environments. Furthermore, she has conducted several studies on the issues of Cooperative Learning regarding learning strategies. She is also interested in the issues of transfer of cognitive skills learned in specific contexts such as chess and morra game.
She is currently a member of the research group that won the PRIN-PNRR-2022, P2022XJ3WH: entitled Numeracy in Aging (NiA). A multidisciplinary study on numerical abilities dynamics in healthy and pathological aging, funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU
She has always collaborated with numerous schools in Sardinia, carrying out cognitive tests with children attending primary and lower secondary schools.
Lecturer in "General Psychology" for the 3-year Degree in Philosophy, and in the laboratory of "Methods and techniques for research in psychology," for the for the 3-year Degree in Psychology at the University of Cagliari..
Since 2004 she has been a member of the Italian Association of Psychology (AIP).
In recent years she has held numerous management positions: she is a member of the CAV (Self-evaluation Commission) of the 3-year Degree in Psychology; she is a member of the Commission for the Specialization Program for Special Education Teachers (University of Cagliari).
