Professional Positions Held

In December 1999, he obtained a Law Degree (Old System) from the University of Cagliari, with a thesis in Maritime Law entitled “The Remuneration of Salvage at Sea”, final grade 110/110.
Since 2001, member of the Editorial Board of the journal Diritto dei trasporti (ISSN 1123-5802), classified by ANVUR as a Class A scientific journal – Area 12.
In 2001, admitted with scholarship to the PhD Program (XVII cycle) in Maritime and Transport Law at the University of Messina, following a national competitive examination.
Since 2003, member of the Institute for the Study of Transport Law (ISDIT), based in Cagliari.
In 2004, admitted to the Bar at the Court of Appeal of Cagliari.
In 2005, awarded a PhD in Maritime and Transport Law from the University of Messina, with a dissertation entitled “Liability for Damage Caused by Space Objects – Uniform Regulation, Private Law Aspects and Systemic Weaknesses”.
From 2007 to 2010, Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Faculty of Law, University of Cagliari.
Since 2011, member of the Editorial Board of the Rivista Italiana di Diritto del Turismo (ISSN 2039-9022), classified by ANVUR as a scientific journal – Area 12.
Since October 2012, Tenured Researcher in Maritime and Air Law (IUS/06) at the Faculty of Economics, Law and Political Sciences, University of Cagliari, affiliated with the Department of Law.
In November 2015, granted tenure as Permanent Researcher.

Teaching Activities

In 2005, lecturer at the Jean Monnet Chair course in EU Transport Law, Faculty of Engineering Management, University of Parma (Prof. Cristina Pozzi), with a seminar on “Liability for Damage Caused by Space Debris on the Earth’s Surface”.

In 2007, responsible for the teaching module “Tourist and Recreational Concessions on State-Owned Maritime Land” in the Master’s Program Internationalization of Yachting, University of Cagliari (Prof. Massimiliano Piras).

From 2007 to 2010, Adjunct Professor at the Faculty of Humanities, University of Cagliari, teaching Tourism Law (IUS/14), BA in Cultural Tourism.

Since 2020: Principal Investigator of the BERN Project – Beyond Emergency: Re-codifying the Normative Framework of Migratory Phenomena, funded by the Sardinia Foundation.
