Giulio Vignoli graduated in Physics at the University of Ferrara (with a thesis on Time-Reversal Symmetry and Hadrons Structure) and received a Ph.D. from the same institution with a thesis focusing on inversion strategies. He is currently Associate Professor of Applied Geophysics at the University of Cagliari and Associate to the National Institute of Oceanography and Apllied Geophysics (OGS). Before that, he worked at the Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland (GEUS), at Aarhus University (Denmark), at KFUPM (Saudi Arabia), at the University of Padua (Italy), and at the University of Utah (USA). His research interests include geostatistics and near-surface characterization, especially via airborne electromagnetics and seismic surface waves.
