Associate Professor of Political Economic Geography. She is a member of the Faculty Board of the PhD in "History, Cultural Heritage and International Studies" of the University of Cagliari.

Member of the CRENoS (Centre for North-South Economic Research), section of CIREM (Inter-university Center for Economic Research and Mobility of the University of Cagliari and the University of Sassari).

Member of the Italian Geographical Society.

She teaches Geography of Development, Economic Political and Administrative Geography, Mobility Geography.

Her main research interests are in the geography of tourism and social and population geography, with particular emphasis on:

-  Cultural and rural tourism in marginal areas;

- Community tourism: theory and practice;

- Diasporas and Root Tourism;

- Heritage production and tourism in multi-ethnic contexts;

- International migration;

- Policies for the inclusion and integration of foreigners;

- National and local strategies for the inclusion of Roma communities.
