Research interests:

Differential and Riemannian geometry, variational problems and partial differential equations on manifolds. Current topics of research: Harmonic, biharmonic and r-harmonic maps. Current collaborators: S. Montaldo (University of Cagliari), C. Oniciuc (University of Iasi), A. Fardoun (University of Brest), V. Branding (University of Vienna). He has written several research papers published in international journals and one research monograph published by the Princeton University Press (see list of publications). According to Math.Sci.Net.,  A. Ratto was cited 622 times by 352 different authors, h-index 14 (March 2026).
