Full Professor of Roman Law and Head of the Department of Law. Member of the Council of the Faculty of Economic, Legal and Political Sciences. Member of the Doctoral Programme in Legal Sciences. She teaches Roman Law Institutions in the Master of Laws programme and Roman Private Law in the Bachelor of Laws programme. Visiting Professor at Zhongnan University of Economics and Law in Wuhan in 2019. She is part of the Teaching and Research Group IURA Romani, Visigoths and Byzantines, Jurists for the Study of Women from Antiquity to the Present, chaired by Rosalía Rodríguez López.

She has participated in several projects of national interest and has been the principal investigator in research projects funded by the Banco di Sardegna Foundation entitled "Towards Gender Equality: Women in History, Institutions, Law and Society" and "Women, Rights and Protection: Between the Past and New Perspectives". She is the Research Unit Leader for the project "Protection of Vulnerable Subjects: The Elderly and Women", funded by Law No. 7, Region of Sardinia.

In the last ten years she has focused particularly on studies related to women, marriage, adultery and conception, resulting in numerous publications. She has organised and participated in many international conferences.
