SHORT PRESENTATION
Alessandro Fiori Maccioni has held the position of Researcher in Mathematical Methods for Economics, Finance, and Actuarial Sciences at the University of Cagliari since 2021. He brings over a decade of experience in academic and institutional research focused on quantitative-actuarial risk management models for welfare and social security.
He collaborates on international cooperation programs and has conducted institutional research with the Ministries of Labor and Social Security in Jordan, Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Lithuania. In Azerbaijan and Lithuania, he also served as a scientific advisor on private pension system reform projects. His primary research interests include the application of quantitative-actuarial methods for evaluating public policies in the areas of pensions and healthcare.
