Amit Kumar is working as a Tenure Track Researcher at the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (DIEE), University of Cagliari, since June 3, 2024. He was a Type A Researcher (RTD-A) at DIEE from February 1, 2021, to June 2, 2024, and a Visiting Scientist at the Center for Advanced Studies, Research and Development in Sardinia (CRS4) from 2011 to 2014. His main research interests include computer simulations, power electronics (including applications of WBG devices), renewable energy, and battery energy storage systems. He has participated in several projects, including two funded by the European Union. He is co-author of more than 70 peer-reviewed journal articles and serves as a guest editor and reviewer for several international journals.
