Raffaele Argiolas graduated with honours in Architecture from the University of Cagliari. PhD with a research on the survey and modelling of historical elements for their implementation in HBIM workflows. Author of articles on digital survey and 3D modelling techniques applied to complex elements with the aid of parametric and procedural modelling tools.

His topics of interest include the use of digital tools, such as augmented reality and virtual environments, for the communication of architecture and cultural heritage. Topics include the production of prototypes of portals for consulting digital models of artefacts and architectural elements, as well as some demonstrations of serious games and virtual tours.

He has carried out activities related to the production and post-production of interactive multimedia content within research projects on territorial and heritage promotion, management and processing of geographical data and databases with GIS tools, often used for the creation of interactive maps for heritage communication.

Since 2018, he has been carrying out teaching tutoring activities at the University of Cagliari, in the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, for the activities of SSD ICAR-17.

He is the author of more than twenty national and international publications on the topics of design, survey and implementation of ICT for communication and teaching of cultural heritage.
