Fabio Licheri graduated in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cagliari where he took the PhD in Industrial Engineering with a numerical and experimental thesis on the characterization of the Wells turbine coupled to a Wave Energy Converter (WEC) system based on the Oscillating Water Column (OWC) principle. He spent 10 months as Visiting Researcher at the Oxford Thermofluids Institute (Oxford University), working on the design of experimental setups for turbomachinery analyses. Since 2022, he works at Department of Mechanical, Chemical and Materials Engineering collaborating to research project on the analysis of turbomachines. (Last update: May 14, 2025)
Since 2023, he works as Research Fellow (RtdA) at the University of Cagliari doing activities on the analysis of Wells turbines and WECs systems within the "e.INS - Ecosystem of Innovation for Next Generation Sardinia" project funded by the Italian Ministry of University and Research under the Next-Generation EU Programme.
