After graduating from the Liceo Classico Carmelo Floris in Gavoi (2003), he obtained a Bachelor's degree in History and Information (2007) and a Master's degree in History and Society (2009) in the University of Cagliari. Acquired the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Modern and Contemporary History at the same University (2014) and in Literatura española ehispanoamericana: investigación avanzada in the Universidad de Salamanca (2014), he obtained the two-year Diploma in Archivistics, Paleography and Diplomatics from the School of APD of the National Archive of Cagliari (2015).

He has been an adjunct lecturer in Medieval History for the University of Sassari (2019-2022), lecturer of paleography exercises in the two-year School in Archivistics, Paleography and Diplomatics of the National Archive of Cagliari (2019-2023), a research fellow with CNR-ISEM (2020-2021) and with the Department of History, Cultural Heritage and Territory of the University of Cagliari (2018-2020), and a postdoctoral fellow with the same Department (2015-2017).

He has been a tenured teacher of Humanities (A-012) in Secondary School.

He obtained the National Scientific Qualification for the positions of associate professor in the concurrency sector 11/A1 - Medieval History (2020) and is a member of the Deputazione di Storia Patria per la Sardegna (since 2022).

Since 2023, he is a researcher of Medieval history (Rtd-B) at the University of Cagliari.

His research interests concern the cultural, intellectual, economic and social history of the Mediterranean in the Middle Ages and Early Modern Age, especially with regard to the Sardinian and Italo-Iberian world.
