Angelo Sotgiu is an Assistant Professor at the University of Cagliari.

He received from the University of Cagliari (Italy) the MSc degree in Telecommunication Engineering – with honors – in September 2019, and the PhD in Electronic and Computer Engineering in February 2023. His research mainly focuses on the security of machine learning, with published works in valuable machine learning journals and conferences (IEEE TPAMI, PR, Neurocomputing, NeurIPS). From October 2022 to December 2023 he worked, based at the University of Cagliari, as a Research Collaborator for the National Interuniversity Consortium for Informatics (CINI). During his PhD, he spent a visiting period at the CISPA Helmholtz Center for Information Security (Saarbrücken, Germany) from February to July 2022. He regularly serves as a reviewer for machine learning and cybersecurity journals and conferences.
