Gabriela Loi graduated in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cagliari, where she later earned a PhD in Industrial Engineering with an experimental thesis focused on the detection and characterization of low-velocity imapct damage in coposite materials. 

She is currently a fixed-term researcher (RTT) in the field of Mechanical Design and Machine Construction at the Department of Mechanical, Chemical, and Materials Engineering. Her research and study activities focus on the behavior, characterization, and monitoring of damage processes in composite materials under static, fatigue, and impact loads.
