The internship period is structured to introduce the student to the laboratory with its regulations. The main goal aims to achieve the acquisition and skills related to the use of basic laboratory equipment: serological pipettes, single- and multi-channel pipettes, and preparation of solutions. One of aims is to learn one or more of the following methods:

- Western blot for measuring the expression of cytosolic and membrane proteins -

- Elisa for measuring plasma hormones involved in the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis function

- Study of treatment with bifidobacteria on hippocampal plasticity and behavioral and cognitive effects in the adult rat

- Study on the effects of chronic stress such as maternal separation, social isolation, and resocialization on the modification of synaptic plasticity and function of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis

- Study on the combined effects of the associated intake of alcohol and energy drinks on the modification of synaptic plasticity in GABAergic and glutamatergic neurotransmission in adolescent and adult rats
