Research interests:
- conservation biology studies on Mediterranean flora at risk of extinction, in particular on endemic flora, with a focus on the following topics: biological and ecological characterization of populations; population dynamics studies; identification and quantification of the effects of threats (both natural and anthropogenic); evaluation of the state of conservation through the application of the main international methodologies and identification and implementation of effective conservation measures for natural populations.
- Floristic studies in the Mediterranean area with analysis of the main distribution and ecological patterns of endemic species or species of conservation interest, in relation to the main environmental and anthropogenic drivers.
- Monitoring of species and habitats of conservation interest.
- Analysis of the impact of fires on Mediterranean flora and vegetation.
