Abstract

We study the biharmonic curves on an invariant surface of a three-dimensional manifold generalizing the case of biharmonic curves on a surface of revolution in R^3 . The main results are: the characterization of proper biharmonic orbits; the explicit description of proper biharmonic curves on an invariant surface with constant positive Gauss curvature.
