Abstract
This introduction presents the articles included in the section of this issue of América Crítica about digital humanities and American studies and highlights some of the questions that all contributions address. In particular, we want to remark that digital humanities open up the field of American studies by emphasizing multi- and interdisciplinary approaches and by encouraging scholars from different fields (within and outside the academia) to participate in the construction and constant reshaping of the discipline. — American studies, digital humanities, interdisciplinary approaches.
