Abstract

This paper analyzes the itinerant trade sector in the city of Cagliari (Sardinia, Italy), paying particular attention to the dimension of the urban space. Although specifically regulated by law, most of the street sales of goods such as food (fruit and vegetables) take place in the city in an abusive manner. But, unlike many other hidden activities - in order to carry out their activity normally - the actors need considerable visibility for the demand.
