Abstract
The essay discusses the formation, accumulation, and digital processing of the Sound Archive of Luisa Orrù, Professor of Cultural Anthropology at the University of Cagliari. Specifically, it traces Orrù's academic background, her working methodology that led to the creation of the archive, and the management of the archive following her untimely passing in 1998. By analyzing the critical issues related to the non-professional handling of the archive, the essay highlights the correct methodologies for digital conversion and the challenges related to ensuring accessibility to this valuable collection.
