Abstract
The Dictionnaire françois by Pierre Richelet, published in 1680 outside French borders, is the first monolingual dictionary of the French language. It was created in defiance of the royal ban on publishing any French language dictionary, a measure enacted to favor the Académie française, which, although founded in 1635, had not yet completed its own lexicographical work. This work, lexically rich, reflects the culture of its time and pays particular attention to phraseological and paremiological units. In this article, we will limit ourselves to describing a typology of collocational information (or CI), specifically implicit collocational information (or ICI) – aspects of which were touched upon in our recent study – which reveals a close relationship between collocation and examples within this dictionary.Items in DSpace are protected by copyright, with all rights reserved, unless otherwise indicated.
