Abstract
This article shows the similarities in form and content between Anth. Lat. 912 Riese2, a Middle Latin epigram found in MS København, Det kongelige Bibliotek, Fabricius 81 8° (late 12th century), fol. 93r, and an epigram of the Italian humanist Niccolò Perotti. The text of the Anthologia, on which specific studies are lacking until now, was published for the first time by Pierre Pithou (Paris 1590) on the basis of a vetus codex today unidentified and belonged to François Juret (1553-1626). Through a comparative analysis of the three poems it is possible to advance some hypothesis on the chronology of the Anthologia’s epigram and to hypothesize that it was Perotti’s direct model.| File | Size | Format | |
