Abstract
In the semiotically complex picture book 'Der Struwwelpeter' by Heinrich Hoffmann, the communicative value lies in the interaction of text and image, in which the layout, the graphic design and the musicality of the rhyming couplets, assonances and alliterations also play an important role. This article will examine the extent to which the two Italian translations by Gaetano Negri (1891) and Maria Luisa Mazzoni (1984) succeed in recontextualising the original mood in a changed cultural-historical and social context.| File | Size | Format | |
