Abstract
The topic of identity construction as a product of the relationship with the alterity is obscured by several toxic narratives provided by political communication. How can we promote a message that goes beyond the power of slogans and reaches young people, called today to think about an increasingly intercultural world? Today, also in accordance with Agenda 2030, on sustainable development, there is a need to develop theoriesthat can provide concrete guidance for educational practices aimed at the younger generations. Considering the great pedagogists of the past who suggested to use everyday objects in educational interventions, in this article we propose to use the simplest and most natural things to make pupils understand that what we are is the result of exchange, dialogue and of the relationship (even conflictual) with another. Food is here promoted as tool for the intercultural education practices that aim to train the skills regarding the recognition of plurality.| File | Size | Format | |
