« E priego voi o successori [...] ». Les dessins anatomiques de Léonard et le rôle probable des gravures
Domenico Laurenza
2024-01-01
Abstract
The study explores the possibility that Leonardo intended, at least in part, to print his anatomical drawings, thus promoting their circulation. The difference, in Leonardo's eyes, between the possibilities offered by woodcut and copperplate engraving is considered. The hypothesis is also presented that a drawing of a woman's anatomy (Windsor Castle, RCIN 912281r) could be evidence for his xylographic print.| File | Size | Format | |
