Abstract
The study of the urban soundscape, which aims to capture the reconfiguration of urban spaces in relation to the presence of migrants, can be a fruitful strand of research. Drawing partly on the achievements of soundscape studies and migration studies, this paper proposes a 'third' approach that attempts to merge these two strands and from which interesting avenues of research can emerge, enriching approaches to social, cultural and urban geography. The main aim is to bring together these two heterogeneous fields of research in a dynamic and dialectical relationship, which have inspired numerous studies both within and outside geography, but which have traditionally moved along parallel tracks.| File | Size | Format | |
