Abstract
To whom is the environmental ethic developed by Pope Bergoglio addressed? It is certainly “ecumenic” and this adjective indicates the effort to recompose the unity of Christians in a common confession of faith. In reality, the ambition of "Laudato si’" is to speak to everyone, not just to an christian audience. This makes the scope of its message more-than-ecumenical. But Bergoglio’s environmental ethic is also "ecumenal", in the sense given to this term by Augustin Berque: it recognizes a decisive ontological-geographical bond that simultaneously involves the Earth and humanity.| File | Size | Format | |
