Abstract
In its first part, the article summarises the main features of some of the film and television adaptations based on Michail Bulgakov's novel "The Master and Margarita". The second part specifically analyses the recent version filmed by the Russian director Michail Lokšin, paying particular attention to the ways in which he combines and overlaps the themes and motifs of the novel with the biography of the writer and with some socio-political reflections linked to Russian history and current events.| File | Size | Format | |
