Abstract
This essay aims to explore a neglected research field concerning film studies in Sardinia, namely the production of found footage films from 2006 to the present day. These terms refer to those films made of pre-existing materials, whether they are ‘found objects’ or archival occurrences described and catalogued. Our aim is to map the context in which found footage has developed in Sardinia over the last twenty years, taking into consideration the impulses given by the Società Umanitaria – Cineteca Sarda, the experienced authors who have dedicated themselves to the reuse of films, and the new generation of authors who have found in found footage an artistic field of choice.| File | Size | Format | |
