Abstract
This paper presents a teaching experience carried out at the Centro per l’Insegnamento dell’Italiano agli Stranieri (CIS) at the University of Cagliari from 2018 to 2021. The experience involved the use of videos not only for receptive purposes but also as tools for productive skills development. It was implemented in A1 and A2 Italian L2 courses, delivered in both face-to-face and synchronous online formats. By outlining the various stages of the activity, this paper highlights how the approach supported the development of productive skills, with a particular focus on oral production. Moreover, it explores how the experience offered valuable insights into key aspects of language learning, particularly motivation and its interplay with the use of new technologies in L2 teaching.| File | Size | Format | |
