Abstract

This research presents the design and development of the Emotions Geogame, a location-based game that allows users to log emotions tied to self-selected places. The goal is to capture emotional data to support urban planning and understand how environments impact well-being. Inspired by self-care games and built using an iterative spiral development model, the prototype integrates mapping, emotion logging, and data management. Players log selected emotions at chosen locations for this data to be later converted into GeoJSON for GIS analysis. Future iterations will refine the geogame design and enhance the emotional logging interface for better engagement and research utility.
