Abstract
The writings of Dionigi Scano, very diverse in terms of scientific interests, accompanied his long professional activity for decades. On these foundations Scano builds the main certainties of method that accompany his activities as a designer and planner, interpreter of the society of his time. Among his books emerges the Forma Karalis, in the first intention a simple street guide and historical guide to the city, in fact the major contribution to the analysis of its birth and its evolution. The book, still very useful to researchers, deals with the most diverse aspects of the city’s history on solid documentary information, placing the Middle Ages at the center of attention. His interpretations, accompanied by a series of unpublished drawings, still allow us to travel through history today, barring some updates.| File | Size | Format | |
