Abstract

Sachs, Heinrich (1863–1928): German neurologist born in Halberstadt, Saxony-Anhalt, and working in Breslau. He studied the lobar fibres of the occipital lobe and distinguished six lobar association tracts (Fig. S1). Reference: Das Hemisphärenmark des menschlichen Grosshirns. I. Der Hinterhauptlappen. Thieme, Leipzig, 1892; see Forkel SJ Heinrich Sachs (1863–1928). J Neurol 2015; 262:498–500. Stratum proprium cunei of Sachs:Eponym for one of six association tracts of the occipital lobe of the cerebral cortex, connecting the cuneus with the superior margin of the calcarine sulcus. Transverse occipital tract of cuneus of Sachs:Eponym for a lobar tract connecting the first occipital gyrus with the superior margin of the calcarine sulcus.
