Abstract
In this part, anatomical eponyms used in various aspects of obstetrics and gynaecology will be discussed. Following a brief introduction on the founders of modern obstetrics, eponyms on the following aspects will be discussed: (a) diameters and signs in obstetrics; (b) development of the follicle and the placenta; (c) the development of the female genital organs and their various remnants; (d) the female pelvic organs; (e) neurovascular sheaths in the female pelvis, often still termed ligaments; (f) the innervation of the female pelvic organs; and (g) the lymphatic drainage of the female genital organs.
