Abstract
Dialogue interpreting today provides new cues of reflection within university training. No longer considered as a mere tool for consolidating oral language skills, yet free from its ancillary role attributed to it by conference interpretation, it can finally represent an independent training opportunity where interpretation skills are intertwined with the ones related to subjects such as sociolinguistics, pragmatics, psycholinguistics and communication sciences. A renewed image of interpreter comes out, that even if it maintains some of the features related to the traditional way of teaching of this subject it changes some aspects in a perspective of necessary adjustment to the new professional realities. Through the analysis of different aspects characterising the skills of the interpreter and of his/her being active participant in the communication event, the varied potentialities of a teaching scenario are brought to light. Such scenario aims at reproducing the inter-linguistic dynamics of the real world and draws the attention to the complexity of dialogue communication and to its inter-related aspects.| File | Size | Format | |
