Abstract

The mass of solvents utilized at the industrial scale typically ranges between the 50% and 80% of the total mass entering the process. Mechanochemistry makes it possible to eliminate, or reduce, their use, and accelerate the transition towards greener chemical processes, contributing to the achievement of both the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and the European Green Deal.
