With the Jean Monnet Centre for Sustainability Studies in the Med Area (CeSSMed), the new Centre of Excellence of CIREM, a new chapter opens for research and planning on environmental, social, and economic sustainability in the Mediterranean area.

The event kicks off on September 12th at the Aresu Campus of the University of Cagliari in via San Giorgio 12, with the Summer School “The Future of Sustainable Mobility.” The school, designed to provide participants with the fundamental knowledge for the correct planning and design of sustainable mobility, will take place from September 12th to 16th.

As part of the Summer School, a public address is scheduled for Wednesday the 13th by Giuseppe Grezzi, former Councillor for Mobility of the City of Valencia, the European Green Capital 2024 and a symbolic city for sustainable mobility, known for its "30 km/h zones," public transport incentives, and promotion of bicycle use.

On Saturday the 16th, the Summer School will conclude with a public round table discussion, also held in the "Mario Carta" Great Hall of the Faculty of Engineering in via Marengo.
