A.Y. 2026/2027

To be admitted to a Master's degree course, the candidate must be in possession of:

  • a university degree or three-year university diploma, or another qualification obtained abroad that is recognised as suitable.
  • curricular requirements
  • adequate personal preparation in accordance with the provisions of the regulations and didactic rules of the individual study courses.

All the requisites necessary for enrolment in the Master Degree program must be acquired by the student prior to enrolment.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS - HOW TO ENROLL

The Master's Degree Program in International Management has open admission. However, a limited number of places are available: a maximum of 10 students, with 5 per university (unless otherwise agreed), for the Unica-Prague Double Degree, and a maximum of 6 students, with 3 per university (unless otherwise agreed), for the Unica-Buas Double Degree.

Curricular Requirements

Students must meet the following curricular requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in one of the following degree classes:

L-18 (D.M. 270/04) and 17 (D.M. 509/99)

L-33 (D.M. 270/04) and 28 (D.M. 509/99)  or  a four-year degree under the previous system in Economics

  • Alternatively, students must have acquired at least:
  1. 27 ECTS in the scientific-disciplinary sectors: SECS-P/07, SECS-P/08, SECS-P/09, SECS-P/10, SECS-P/11
  2. 15 ECTS in the scientific-disciplinary sectors: SECS-S/01, SECS-S/03, SECS-S/06, MAT/09
  3. 18 ECTS in the scientific-disciplinary sectors: IUS/01, IUS/04, IUS/05, IUS/06, IUS/07, IUS/09, IUS/12, IUS/14
  4. 12 ECTS in the scientific-disciplinary sectors: SECS-P/01, SECS-P/02, SECS-P/03, SECS-P/06

Additionally, students must provide a language certification attesting to their English proficiency at a minimum level of B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Alternatively, students must pass a B2 placement test at the University Language Center (CLA) before the admission interview.

Regarding the required English language certification, the following will be accepted:

International certifications such as IELTS, TOEFL, Cambridge ESOL, TRINITY (ISE 1, ISE 2, ISE 3), PEARSON (PT-Academic), Oxford, Gatehouse Award Classic

Certificates of attendance and achievement issued by University Language Centers (minimum 80-hour courses per level)

A language proficiency test taken at the University Language Center (complete test, including written and oral parts)

A university curricular exam in English

A degree obtained from a program where all courses were taught in English

Personal Preparation

The assessment of the adequacy of personal preparation is carried out as follows:

a) Through a documentary review of the academic record in the case of a degree grade equal to or higher than 92/110 for candidates who have graduated in the following degree classes:

L-18 (D.M. 270/04) and 17 (D.M. 509/99)

L-33 (D.M. 270/04) and 28 (D.M. 509/99)

A four-year degree under the previous system in Economics

Alternatively, for students applying under conditional enrollment (i.e., those still enrolled in one of the above undergraduate programs), a weighted average grade of at least 22/30 is required.

b) Through a written exam covering the following subjects: Management, Accounting, Organization, Applied Economics, Marketing, and International Economics.

c) The written exam mentioned in point (b) is conducted in English.

If a student has previously taken and passed the personal preparation assessment at the Faculty of Economics and/or the Faculty of Economic, Legal, and Political Sciences of the University of Cagliari for admission to Master's Degree programs in the LM-56, LM-76, LM-77, and LM-91 classes, they are exempt from taking the exam.

To request an exemption from the exam (while still being required to pay the enrollment fee), students must submit a written request to the Student Administration Office at segrstudsegp@unica.it at least 48 hours before the exam registration deadline, as specified in the General Study Manifesto.

Following the documentary review of the academic record and the submitted declarations, applicants will receive a specific notification regarding their status.

Registration and Exam Participation

All students must register online for the personal preparation assessment and pay the corresponding registration fee, regardless of whether they might later be exempt from taking the test.

The verification of curricular requirements and/or the required knowledge and competencies, as well as the adequacy of personal preparation, is carried out by a designated Commission.

Exam results will be communicated based on the pre-matriculation number, which corresponds to the receipt number indicated at the bottom of the application form for the personal preparation assessment.

International Students

For visa-seeking international students applying through the UniversItaly portal (excluding Double Degree programs, which follow separate selection procedures as specified in their regulations), and who have not obtained their entry qualification in Italy, the Commission will evaluate their curricular requirements and personal preparation based on the submitted documentation. Specifically, the Commission will assess:

a) Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent qualification):

Type of degree, title, and other defining characteristics of the qualification

Completion of the required ECTS credits for admission

Average grades obtained in individual courses

National or international ranking of the university that issued the degree

b) English language certification at B2 level

c) Overall academic background and other relevant qualifications, as indicated in the curriculum and any additional documents provided by the student

If the submitted documentation does not meet the required thresholds outlined in point (a), the student's level of personal preparation will be assessed through an interview, which may also be conducted remotely. This interview will take place by the end of July.
