Next Generation Sequencing (NGS)
The lab is equipped with the following sequencing platforms for short and lon-read sequencing:
- Illumina NextSeq 2000
- Illumina MiSeq
- MGI G400
- Oxford Nanopore MinIon
Sequencing service includes:
- Quality control of submitted samples
- Library preparation
- Sequencing and FastQ generation
The main services offered are:
- Transcriptomic studies (mRNA and Total RNA sequencing)
- Whole-exome sequencing
- Metagenomic studies by analyzing the hypervariable regions of the prokaryotic 16S ribosomal RNA gene (V1-V9).
- Target resequencing: sequencing only a subset of genes or genome regions of research interest. Users can choose among pre-defined or custom gene panels. Is it possible to study both RNA and DNA (SNP, CNV, indel, etc…)
- miRNA and small RNA sequencing
- small genomes sequencing (virus, bacteria)
