Abstract

A study focused on the analysis of three contemporary Spanish novels: Nubosidad variable by Carmen Martín Gaite; La hija del caníbal by Rosa Montero; El pintor de batallas by Arturo Pérez Reverte. Three stories of fragmentation, told through narrative strategies which swing between autobiographical writing and therapeutic dialogue, whose characters, entrapped in a no return path, get out of isolation thanks to an ideal listener.
