Abstract

Italian colonialism was characterized by a colonial population policy. Such policies, at least in the programs, intensified after the proclamation of the Italian East African empire in 1936. The article investigates how the Italian communities in East Africa organized themselves and redefined their position starting from 1941 and the end of the administration Italian in those territories.
