Abstract
The book offers an analysis of Ladri di biciclette, the famous film directed by Vittorio De Sica in 1948, considered one of the masterpieces of the neorealist season, which recounts the dramatic everyday life of the post-war period in an innovative way. The book, largely based on period sources and often unpublished archive documents, reconstructs the genesis of the work and examines the narrative logic, the construction of the characters, the directing choices, and the reactions of critics and audiences. In this way, emerge the features of a film that combined original solutions on a formal level with an extraordinary effectiveness on the emotional one, which remains unchanged to this day.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
