Abstract
This book is a contribution on Sardinian multipart singing, included in the EVA (European Voices: Audiovisuals) series of the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. The book explores key aspects of the variety and complexity of multipart singing which is practiced in Sardinia, on the basis of an essential distinction between two performance principles : inclusive multipart singing (which offers the possibility for anyone interested to participate) and exclusive multipart singing (mastered only by specialized and selected groups). The volume and the audiovisual anthology are produced within the framework of the TeDiMuS (Digital Technologies and Multipartite Singing in Sardinia) project, financed by the Autonomous Region of Sardinia (Regional Law 7/2007, for the ‘Promotion of Scientific Research and Technological Innovation in Sardinia’), and realised with the support of Labimus (Interdisciplinary Laboratory on Music of the Department of Humanities, Languages and Cultural Heritage of the University of Cagliari.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
