Abstract
The figure of Giovanni Spano is primarily associated with the study of Sardinian archaeology. However, his eclecticism led him, albeit marginally, to also focus on documentary sources. He analyzed these sources not only from a content perspective, as they were functional for enriching his other studies, but also for their intrinsic and extrinsic characteristics. These analyses, briefly presented here, reveal a typical investigative capacity of a historian of documents and contribute to defining Spano as the father of humanistic studies in Sardinia.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
