Abstract

In the volume, the main issues concerning the study and management of road traffic are treated with scientific rigor and interpreted, also in an original way, with particular attention to urban and extra-urban vehicular traffic, under the different functional conditions of highways, two-lane roads, and urban roads, as well as those related to the regulation of vehicular traffic at intersections. The work, derived from the research, teaching, and professional experience of the authors, is aimed at the training of transport engineers, but it can also serve as a useful and sufficiently detailed support for specific in-depth studies of the subject and sector studies.
