Abstract
The essay presents the profile of the merchant Nicolás Blancafort from Cagliari, introduced through the study of the documents of the Spanish Inquisition. He was tried twice for blasphemy and insults. The second time, he died during the trial, and we had to wait almost 20 years for the acquittal of his memory and fame. The contribution focuses, however, on the first process: the trial documents report the inventory of the seized goods and documents. The latter, examined together with the rest of the information contained in the trial, allow us to draw up a profile of Nicolás as Archives’ creator.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
