Abstract
In this essay, using the tools of game theory and behavioral economics, after analyzing the defining characteristics of a trusting interaction, and discussing the main economic explanations of trusting and trustworthy behaviors we present the results of an experiment designed to test the principle of “trust responsiveness” that we believe can contribute more accurately than alternative theories to account for the peculiar nature of trusting relationships. Finally, we will discuss the institutional and organizational implications arising from this perspective.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
