Abstract

Ihering, Hermann von (1850–1930): German zoologist and geologist born in Kiel who studied in Berlin and Göttingen. He became Director of the Museu del Estado den Sao Paulo, Brazil (Fig. I1). Plane of Ihering:Eponym for a preliminary version of the Frankfurt-Virchow plane or ‘Frankfurter Horizontale’.
