PhD students enrolled in the third year of one of the following PhD programme of Cycle XXXII will take their final examination to be awarded the PhD degree according to the provision of the Italian Ministerial Decree no. 45/2013 (art. 8, par. 6), included in the Rules and Regulations on PhD programmes of the University of Cagliari (Rector's Decree no. 946 of 5th July 2013, as amended and integrated), in FEBRUARY 2020.
To be admitted to Final Examination, the PhD thesis has to be evaluated by at least two referees appointed by the Academic Board. They will submit their analytic evaluation on PhD theses within 30 days, using the attached form (see below: Modulo referaggio_Evaluation form)

PhD students have to send to referees, according to the deadlines and procedures indicated by their Academic Board:

• PhD thesis
• abstract in Italian or English
• PhD student's report on activities and possible publications, properly filled in and signed. This report has to be sent to the PhD Coordinator too (Attachment: PhD student's report)

How to submit your application for being admitted to the final examination and upload your PhD thesis

The procedure to submit your application and upload your PhD thesis is online only: enter your personal webpage on UniCa website at: https://unica.esse3.cineca.it/Start.do, and follow the guidelines below (ADMISSION TO FINAL EXAMINATION AND THESIS UPLOAD: GUIDELINES FOR ONLINE APPLICATION).

Requirements for PhD students with a POR-FSE scholarship

PhD students with a scholarship funded by POR Sardegna -FSE 2014-2020 have to include a clear reference to the funding source of their scholarship, in all documents (research projects/papers, publications, etc.), including the PhD thesis, developed during the PhD programme. Within 15 days before the date scheduled for your thesis defence:
1. Submit the application to be awarded your PhD degree
2. Upload your PhD thesis
3. Pay the stamp duty (EUR 16.00)
