This study dives into the fire resilience of steel storage racks—essential structures for safely holding high-value goods in various sectors. Despite advances in seismic and static design, fire safety remains largely uncharted for these frames, and existing protections like sprinklers aren’t always feasible. Our research offers a parametric analysis across diverse fire scenarios, exploring progressive collapse and proposing effective reinforcement strategies. We also examine the impact and limitations of sprinkler systems as fire protection.
